These are more examples of containment equipment found in labs using biological materials. Another clue might be the presence of “biohazard bag” waste or specially designed sharps containers. Biohazard bags are usually red or orange in color and will always have a biohazard symbol on them. As we talked about in the Ventilated Cabinet section, be sure you know the difference between Laminar Flow Hoods, Biosafety Cabinets, and Fume Hoods.
