- Chemical disinfectant treatment
Ask lab members how they dispose of biohazardous materials, especially recombinant nucleic acid-containing materials and pathogens. If the person you ask is not sure or confident in their answer, seek out the PI and ask them.
If decontamination or inactivation does not occur prior to trash or sewer disposal, cite this item and notify the BSO immediately!
