Safety Education

Safety: Free from danger; not involving risk or loss; not likely to cause or do harm or injury.
Education: The development and training of one's mind, character, skills, etc., as by instruction, study, or example.

The Safety Education program is an eight-week program focusing on safety in the workplace. The goal of the program is to encourage employees to make safety and health a priority in their daily lives. The program emphasizes short, but frequent, exposure to safety information through unique delivery strategies.

Program components include:

Safety Talks 15-Minute information session on various topics.
B-Safe Bingo Improves safety on the job and helps to reduce worker's compensation.
Posters Safety and health posters displayed in various places around the department.
Flyers Weekly flyers distributed on safety and health topics; corresponds with the safety talk for that week.
Injury Tracker Your parts are irreplaceable! Understanding injury protects you from potential injuries in the future. The Injury Tracker is a life-size poster where employees track injuries in their department by placing "injury stickers" on the corresponding injured body part.
Hazard Reporting The Hazard Reporting box will be placed in the department for employees to report hazards in the work area.
Puzzles and Games Making safety fun.
